Jerusalem Day

Yom Yerushalayim, or Jerusalem Day, commemorates the battle for the city that was fought in 1967 to reunite the People of Israel with our beloved city. The reestablishment of Jerusalem in our time is the culmination of biblical prophecy written thousands of years ago, as it says in Zechariah: “God will have mercy on Zion again and will choose Jerusalem again.” Jews were not even allowed to pray at the Western Wall until the Modern State of Israel was able to vanquish her enemies and set up the entire city of Jerusalem as her capital. Jerusalem Day is a joyous celebration of His chosen people with His chosen city.
